Throughout her journey as a client at WCIG Lilydale, Abigail has displayed an unwavering sense of positivity towards the services and support provided to her. Despite the obstacles she encountered, she remained open to feedback and eager to grow, demonstrating a commendable commitment to her personal and professional development.
Setting realistic goals, Abigail aimed for full-time employment that would allow her to utilise her strong interpersonal skills. She also aspired to further her education with a Diploma in Building Construction. However, she faced a significant hurdle when she realised that a particular laptop was essential for her studies. With WCIG’s assistance in purchasing the required equipment, Abigail was able to overcome this financial barrier and continue her educational journey.
In a remarkable turn of events, Abigail achieved her goal of securing full-time employment with Serco, where she now provides support to callers on the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) line. This role not only marked a significant step in her career but also aligned perfectly with her skills and aspirations.
Looking ahead, Abigail is set to embark on her Diploma of Building and Construction with Victoria University in September 2024. Her determination to further her education while maintaining her employment highlights her incredible work ethic and commitment to self-improvement.
