NDIS stands for the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It provides support to people with a disability, their families and carers and is jointly governed and funded by the States and Territories. The NDIS funding is about people with disability having the choice and control over the supports that meet their needs with the appropriate funding available to make this happen.
It covers your needs up to the age of 65 and can provide the assistance in a wide variety of areas determined by meetings with planners and other people who are there to advocate on your behalf.
