National Disability Insurance Scheme )(NDIS)

NDIS stands for the National Disability Insurance Scheme. It provides support to people with a disability, their families and carers and is jointly governed and funded by the States and Territories. The NDIS funding is about people with disability having the choice and control over the supports that meet their needs with the appropriate funding available to make this happen.

It covers your needs up to the age of 65 and can provide the assistance in a wide variety of areas determined by meetings with planners and other people who are there to advocate on your behalf.

NDIS funding is determined by your planner and will aim to:

    • help with your individual goals and aspirations
    • help your social and/or economic participation
    • it helps to maintain your informal supports

WCIG will be there to provide the supports in line with the areas funded in your plan and at times of review assist with details that may indicate that you need different level of funding.

WCIG became a NDIS Registered provider in 2018.

WCIG can support you straight away with helping you with understanding the supports in your plan, and what you need to do to reach your goals.

If you currently have an NDIS plan and are looking for a new provider, please contact us and we can discuss how we can help you.
