WCIG and JobCo. have worked together since 2013 to provide DES services across Melbourne, under the name WCNjobs. WCIG has been operating since 1986 as a not-for-profit community organisation. Our services include Employment, Disability, Youth, Training and Social Enterprises.
Your transition will be coordinated by WCIG, with support from the Department of Social Services. We are notifying all clients by email and SMS about the changes and will be providing details on how to connect to your local contact person at WCIG.
Your Centrelink payments should(will) not be impacted by this transition, however please contact us immediately if your payments are impacted for any reason.
We want to assure all JobCo. clients that this will have no impact to their support and that we will continue to work with all DES participants to achieve their employment goals.
Yes, you may be required to attend a new office location. Our priority is to make this transition as smooth as possible for you. We have carefully selected office locations that aim to minimise any additional travel time for you. If you have any issues with the new location/s or need assistance with travel arrangements, please let us know.
While we are setting up our new offices, we will need to conduct your appointments over the phone temporarily. This is to ensure that there is no interruption in the support and services you receive.
Your Job Plan and records will be transferred to us. We will review and update your plan to continue to provide support based on your existing goals and needs.
No, your eligibility for DES services remains intact. We will take over your case without the need to re-apply.
While there may be some differences in approach, we will provide similar core services. You should discuss any specific needs or concerns with us to ensure we can continue to meet your requirements.
Yes, we will offer an orientation or initial meeting to introduce you to our services, staff, and procedures.
Please let us know of any issues as soon as possible. We will work with you to address any disruptions and help you get back on track with your employment goals.
You will receive contact information for us, including phone numbers and office locations. You can reach out to us directly to schedule an appointment or address any questions.
