WCIG is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Mercy Health Saltwater Clinic in Footscray. The pilot commenced on 20 February with our staff present at the clinic at regular intervals to provide both Disability Employment Services and various NDIS supports. More than 10 individuals have been assisted so far, with fantastic levels of engagement and positive feedback from those participants.
A similar partnership is also in action with the Braybrook Maidstone Neighbourhood House, providing an NDIS and Employability Drop-in Service, engaging over 30 people in sharing information about supports available and how to access them. Josie, our Community Engagement Specialist for the region, is thrilled with the way these new partnerships have opened doors; “It’s great to be working in unison with these organisations, creating real connections for people and the services they can access.”
Our team member is present on the third Wednesday of each month at the Mercy Health Saltwater Clinic and on various days at the Braybrook Maidstone Neighbourhood House to assist individuals for the duration of the pilot program, at this stage until the end of June 2019.
