About the course
This course is designed to provide students from non-English speaking backgrounds with an opportunity to improve their English language skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. The course also develops employment and living skills, knowledge of Australian society and strategies for successful transition into work or further study in Australia.

How students are assessed
Assessment occurs using a variety of methods to identify essential skills and knowledge acquired during the training. These methods may include:
- Role plays
- Observation and demonstration
- Oral questions and answers
- Case studies
- Written assignments
- Research projects and presentations

Training services are provided to eligible individuals with Funds made available by the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments.
