Skills Reconnect aims to assist individuals to complete accredited education and maximise their employment opportunities.

The Skills Reconnect Program offers one-on-one case management support to individuals wishing to re-engage with education.

 

Our Skills Reconnect Coaches work to:

• Identify learning and career goals

• Develop a tailored plan in conjuction with the individual to meet their goals

• Provide financial assistance including travel assistance, identification costs and course fees.

 

Where is the program delivered?

WCIG and our partner, commUnity+, provides Skills Reconnect in Wyndham, Hobsons Bay, Brimbank, Melton, Maribyrnong and Moonee Valley.

 

Who is eligible?

Individuals aged 17-19 who have not completed Year 12 or Certificate II or higher, and people aged 20-64 who have not completed Year 12, a Certificate II or higher and have been unemployed for  more than 12 months.

 

Funding for the Skills First Reconnect grant program is being provided by the Victoria Government, through the Department of Education and Training.
