Chris

Chris has struggled with his anxiety which prompted him to seek assistance from our employment service team in Melton.

Chris felt restricted from achieving independence, so we made goals to get him ‘job ready’ which included pushing his anxiety, getting his drivers’ licence, buying a car and finding a full time job.

Bianka

After leaving school at the age of
15, Bianka found herself seeking
employment assistance through our
west@work program which helped her
prepare for interviews and getting into
the workforce.

Bianka was awarded the 2017 WCIG
Board Scholarship which catapulted
her career working for Mercedes Benz.

2000's

The Worksupply Company becomes
Disability Employment Services,
specialising in working with people
experiencing mental illness

Further diversified services are
developed to support access
to employment, including a HIV
specialist employment service

based in Prahran

WCIG participates in the development of
the Social Firm model in Australia.

Jobs Pathway becomes Youth
Pathways
and works with young
people disengaged from education and

Sue

Sue began working at our social
enterprise, Cleanable, in 2007 before
moving onto LoveLuvo where she has
been working for the past 10 years.

It all began when she did a course
offered by our Training division.
Sue was diagnosed with paranoid
schizophrenia in her early-to-mid 20s.
