About
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability and Ageing) (CHC33021) course provides the skills and training necessary to fulfill a care role in aged, disability and other person-centred support settings. The units of study provide students with foundational skills and knowledge to work in the aged, disability and home and community care industry. Students learn to work with individuals to support their independence and wellbeing, in their homes or in community settings. This stream specialises in disability, equipping students with additional key skills specific to caring for people in a variety of settings. Upon completion of placement, support to find employment in your field can be provided.
Duration
39 week program, including mandatory 120-hour work
placement. Training hours – 2 days a week.

Delivery
- Face to face delivery with 120 hours of mandatory work placement.
- Online delivery with 120 hours of mandatory work placement.
- Blended delivery which can include a combination of online, remote and face to face delivery. Blended learning can involve a range of online programs and resources, however some face to face modules of study are required. Blended delivery also includes 120 hours of mandatory work placement.
- For blended and online delivery, you must have access to a laptop or desktop, Adobe Reader, the Microsoft Office package, and an internet browser.
